Senior Data Quality Engineer - 2298335 EMPLOYER: Optum Services Inc. JOB TITLE: Senior Data Quality Engineer LOCATION: 1 Optum circle Eden Prairie, MN 55344 DUTIES: Build and optimize automated test frameworks and tools to automate data quality checks, regression testing, and ensure releases are defect-free. Automate testing of data transformation processes. Design and Implement Data Quality Solutions. Develop and maintain complex data pipelines using cloud platforms to ensure data quality and integrity across various components of the data platform. Ensure data integrity by implementing quality assurance practices in support of data warehouse environments and ETL processes / projects Analyze data and reporting assets to ensure that products meet design specifications and standards Design test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based on business requirements. Implement data quality checks, data governance, and security best practices across data platforms to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Ensuring Role based access controls (RBAC) are properly implemented, and data encryption method is properly implemented. Engage in Functional Testing, exploratory testing, Post Prod Validation, Integration Testing, End-to-End Testing and other testing activities. Ensure adherence to standardized QA policies, processes and documentation standards. Provide technical direction and mentor other engineers, ensuring effective testing practices and continuous improvement in data quality processes. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Analytics, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Position requires 1 year of experience in the following: - Data quality tools and technologies including Qtest, X-Ray, Jira and iCEDQ, Rally; - Data management and data governance principles including Row Level security, User based access control in SQL databases and Role Based Access Controls; - Database management systems including SQL, Snowflake SQL and Azure SQL; - Data warehousing and ETL processes including SQL server Integration Services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and Stored Procedures; - key data warehouse including dimension tables, fact tables and normalization forms; - Cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure and Snowflake; - GitHub, GitHub Actions and Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery (CI/CD); and - ETL processes including Stored procedures and SSIS.
